Smith & Wesson .22/32 Heavy Frame Target

A Smith & Wesson .22/32 Heavy Frame Target revolver.
Back in 1911, California gun dealer Phil Bekeart had no clue he was about to unleash a legend. When he sweet-talked Smith & Wesson into building the .22/32 Heavy Frame Target revolver, he was basically playing matchmaker between a battle-tested 15-year-old I-frame and the scrappy .22 Long Rifle cartridge.

By then, the frame had shed all its teenage awkwardness—every kink hammered out, every quirk smoothed over. It was the perfect marriage of proven reliability and precision shooting, and Bekeart had just lit the fuse on what would become an absolute icon.
